JellyTank Floats Successful Kickstarter Crowdfunding Campaign, Secures Pre-Orders of $188,828 and Moves Sales to Indiegogo InDemand

26 May

JellyTank, the ultimate desktop jellyfish aquarium, pre-order sales exceed $188k on Kickstarter and moves sales to Indiegogo’s InDemand with full production of the tanks well underway

By Robert Hoskins

Sarasota, Florida – The JellyTank has scored a huge success on Kickstarter, chalking up a staggering pre-sales total of over $188k to date. The JellyTank is a 5-gallon Nano aquarium designed to create the most suitable environment for Jellyfish while providing a budget-friendly and low-maintenance desktop aquarium for jellyfish owners.

With over a thousand backers on Kickstarter, the JellyTank is quickly turning heads and stands as one of the most innovative and affordable jellyfish aquariums to date

Brock and Blake Gratton, the developers of the JellyTank, launched the Kickstarter campaign on February 7th with an initial goal of $25,000. In their relentless pursuit of success, the twin brothers managed to hit their target within only three days and pre-sold over 1,000 JellyTanks at over $188,000.

“With the support and help from everyone, we officially hit our goal within 72 hours of launch and was able to presell over $188,000 worth of JellyTanks,” said Blake and Brock Gratton, Co-Creators. “We’re working hard to get all the moving parts of manufacturing underway while successfully assembling an aquaculture facility. We’ve aligned ourselves with expert marine biologists while building relationships and partnerships within the industry.”

“We had no idea we would achieve this with our Kickstarter campaign, but hope to continue the same successful results on Indiegogo’s Indemand platform until we have product to sell,” the Grottons added.

With over a thousand backers on Kickstarter, the JellyTank is quickly turning heads and stands as one of the most innovative and affordable jellyfish aquariums to date. It has also received positive reviews by people in the marine and tech industries and has been featured on popular websites such as Dude I Want That, Aquanerd, Advanced Aquarist, Trend Hunter, and The Awesomer, among many more.

At present, the manufacturing of the JellyTanks is in full effect. Plans are currently underway to kickstart the delivery of the tanks at the end of July with jellyfish deliveries shortly after. Also in the works is a recently launched Indiegogo InDemand campaign which is set to further expand the reach of the JellyTank and help maximize exposure.

The twin brothers are currently on a mission to developing their stretch goals and hope to successfully manufacture and deliver nothing short of high-quality and fully-functional products in the coming weeks. Go to the Indiegogo InDemand campaign if you’d like to pledge or visit jellytank.com for the opportunity to learn more about the company.

Blake and Brock are both successful entrepreneurs with a strong passion for business and family. They graduated from the Florida State University in 2004 with majors in Economics and later became mortgage loan officers for four years until the real estate market came crashing down.

“We’ve always had a yearning for entrepreneurship, as teenagers we created our first company called B&B Stringing where we would string tennis racquets,” Blake Gratton added.

Facebook Rolls Out Crowdfunding Platform for Education, Medical, Pets, Crisis Relief, Personal Loss, Sports and Community Needs

24 May

However, with a crowdfunding platform commission fee of  6.9% + 30 cents per credit card transaction fee Facebook’s Fundraiser Service will be considerably more expensive than competitors such as GoFundMe, Indiegogo and Kickstarter

By Robert Hoskins

Menlo Park, California – Facebook is a place where people come together to connect with their communities and support one another in meaningful ways. Today, we are giving people another way to mobilize around causes they care about by expanding personal fundraisers to everyone over 18 in the US and by adding two new categories – community and sports.

Facebook Rolls Out Crowdfunding Platform and Fundraiser Service for Education, Medical, Pets, Crisis Relief, Personal Loss, Sports and Community Needs

Facebook Rolls Out Crowdfunding Platform and Fundraiser Service for Education, Medical, Pets, Crisis Relief, Personal Loss, Sports and Community Needs

Facebook began testing personal fundraisers, a new product that allows people to raise money for a friend, themselves or a sick pet directly on Facebook, in March. Since then, they’ve been inspired by the response to create them and the support felt by those they benefit.

People can create a fundraiser to quickly raise money on Facebook and easily reach their friends in a few taps, without leaving Facebook, and can share fundraisers to help build momentum. People can learn about the person who created the fundraiser and the person benefiting from the fundraiser, as well as see which friends have donated. Now people can raise money for any of the following categories:

  • Education: such as tuition, books or classroom supplies
  • Medical: such as medical procedures, treatments or injuries
  • Pet Medical: such as veterinary procedures, treatments or injuries
  • Crisis Relief: such as public crises or natural disasters
  • Personal Emergency: such as a house fire, theft or car accident
  • Funeral and Loss: such as burial expenses or living costs after losing a loved one
  • Sports: such as equipment, competitions or team fees
  • Community: such as neighborhood services, community improvements or environmental improvements

Nonprofit fundraisers continue to be available for people on Facebook to raise funds and awareness for 501(c)(3) nonprofits.

It’s easy to get started:

  1. On mobile, tap the menu icon and select Fundraisers, or on desktop, go to facebook.com/fundraisers
  2. Choose to raise money for a Friend, Yourself or Someone or Something Not on Facebook
  3. Give your fundraiser a title and compelling story, and start raising money

All fundraisers are reviewed within 24 hours. Personal fundraisers are available on all devices, and have a 6.9% Facebook commission fee + $0.30 fee that goes to payment processing, fundraiser vetting, and security and fraud protection. Facebook’s goal is to create a platform for good that’s sustainable over the long-term, and not to make a profit from our charitable giving tools.

We’re constantly inspired by the good people on Facebook do, and we’re excited to learn more about how people use this new product so we can continue improving the experience.

GlowThrow Launches Exciting Kickstarter Crowdfunding Campaign to Fund New Glow-in-the-Dark Fetch Game for Playing with Dogs at Night

17 May

Australian Company GlowThrow Begins Much-Awaited Kickstarter Crowdfunding Campaign in the Pet Niche for Innovative Glow-in-the-Dark Ball Launcher Product

By Robert Hoskins

Melbourne, AustraliaGlowThrow, a Melbourne-based company which has developed an ingenious pet-friendly product featuring the latest technology, has confirmed that it has launched a crowdfunding campaign on the global Kickstarter platform to help get its original provisional patent pending glow-in-the-dark fetch game for dogs off the ground. It is hoped that pet owners will be able to spend much more quality time with their dogs as the product can easily be used at night. Its target market is dog owners who get home after dark and people who happen to live in areas that get far less natural sunlight during the day, especially in winter.

GlowThrow is the world's only pet-friendly designed glow-in-the-dark fetch game for playing fetch at night

GlowThrow is the world’s best pet-friendly glow-in-the-dark fetch game for playing with dogs at night

A 12-month labour of love has seen the GlowThrow developed and tested by a pet-centric lighting industry professional with a 7-year-old white colored Whippet named Chicken who enjoys night time walks. Lachlan Scott is a heavy industrial mining lighting expert who earned his Degree from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne.

In the business world, he was a former Project Development Engineer and Sales Manager for a global lighting industry giant recording annual sales of $8.98 billion AUD per year. Importantly, with overall pet wellbeing and safety in mind, GlowThrow features a powerful inbuilt LED to charge the glow-in-the-dark ball whereby the LED and battery are located within the launcher rather than the ball – eliminating the risk of dogs accidentally eating the electronics while playing fetch. What’s more, GlowThrow’s unique design allows for a sustainable bright glow experience during every walk as the LED charges the Phosphor.

“I work long hours and there can be so much emotion wrapped up in this as a dog owner. I felt so guilty working late. Our Whippet named Chicken really has a way of tugging at your heart strings. I think it must be the same for every pet owner who also finds themselves in our situation,” expressed Lachlan Scott, Director, GlowThrow. “Now, the GlowThrow allows my girlfriend and me to get the most out of walks with Chicken – no matter what time we both can get home at. It has helped to nurture the bond that we have with our dog who feels so much like a part of the family. I guess a lot of people can relate to our story.”

Currently, with 2 staff and multiple outside contractors, GlowThrow solves a natural light problem for people who work long hours and often get home as the sun is setting or when it is already dark. Lachlan Scott also observed a major natural light issue when he lived in Vienna, Austria for 2 years. In the Northern Hemisphere, the sun sets at 4 pm in winter.

Interestingly, from a quality of life standpoint, earlier this month, the Austrian capital was named the best city in the world to live in for the 8th year in a row. GlowThrow is committed to improving the quality of life for pet owners and dogs.

In November 2016, the GlowThrow team filed for provisional patent pending with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The immediate goal is to complete a successful crowdfunding campaign and fulfil as many orders as possible with Kickstarter traction to get the product to backers. The vision for the business is to have GlowThrow stocked in as many pet shops as possible.

Every GlowThrow features:

  • High powered LED light built neatly into the head of the launcher.
  • Super bright glow-in-the-dark ball for maximum visibility.
  • A fortnight of daily night-time dog walks from a fully charged 1200m Ah Li-Ion rechargeable battery.
  • Micro USB charger port to charge the battery.
  • Exceptional ergonomic handle with over moulded rubber for secure grip comfort.
  • Flexible neck for long throws.
  • LED light doubles as an illuminating torch when not charging the glow-in-the-dark ball.

GlowThrow is the world’s only pet-friendly designed glow-in-the-dark fetch game for dogs that gives you the ability to keep the ball glowing super brightly while you effortlessly play fetch at night. To see GlowThrow in action at night visit: http://www.glowthrow.com/

Dogological Indiegogo Campaign Strives to Save Dogs’ Lives and Teach Abused Children How to Love

1 Apr

DVD program teaches dog owners to train their dogs from the dog’s point of view and will help them tap into their dog’s natural intelligence and desire to please

By Brad Jaffe, Owner and Founder, Dogological

Dogological uses a compassionate, simple and psychological approach to training dogs by empowering dog owners through teaching from the dog’s point of view. In February, we started our Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, in partnership with Gabriel’s Angels, a non-profit organization whose mission is to deliver the power of healing through pet therapy to neglected and at-risk children, nurturing their emotional development and enhancing the quality of their lives.

Gabriel’s Angels to expand their wonderful work with at-risk children by adding more therapy dog teams to serve an additional 10,000 children in Arizona

Gabriel’s Angels expanding wonderful work with at-risk children by adding more therapy dog teams to serve an additional 10,000 children in Arizona

We’ve been fortunate to have over 50 backers donate a little under $6,000 thus far and we recently announced the extension of the campaign to April 13 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. We’d like to thank our current funders and we look forward to the new support we will be receiving in the next couple weeks.

The funds received from the campaign will make the Dogological dog teaching program available to dog owners worldwide by helping with the production costs of the Dog Teaching Method At-home Program DVD set.

The 6-set DVD program will teach dog owners to train their dogs from the dog’s point of view and will help them tap into their dog’s natural intelligence and desire to please. This non-confrontational method is a contrast to today’s well-known pack-leader dominance models.

For a sneak peek into what the program will offer, see these previews for walking your dog and teaching your dog how to sit.

In addition to contributing to the creation of Dogological’s program that instructs how to have well-mannered dogs through compassionate and simple teaching techniques, a portion of the funding will also be donated directly to the expansion of Gabriel’s Angels’ non-profit pet therapy program, to meet the needs of over 13,000 abused, neglected and at-risk children in the Arizona area looking for empathy, love and trust that only therapy dogs can provide. These therapy dog visits have proven to provide children with unconditional love and teach core-behaviors.

The Humane Society estimates that 2.7 million adoptable cats and dogs are euthanized each year and lack of training has been identified as one of the factors that leads to euthanization. We believe that if dog owners can easily access affordable dog training methods, dogs can be kept out of shelters and these numbers can be lowered.

Over the past 15 years, Dogological has worked with over 6,500 owners and their dogs, including a number of dogs that now serve as therapy dogs at Gabriel’s Angels. We have perfected a program for communicating with dogs in a way that they understand. My goal is to be able to make the Dogological method easily available to anyone and everyone that wants to have a well-mannered dog while preserving a great mutually beneficial relationship together.

The campaign is also supporting the expansion of Gabriel’s Angels because we have tightly aligned missions. Gabriel’s Angels helps heal and nurture children that have been exposed to abuse, neglect, and abandonment through the gentle loving presence of therapy dogs, while Dogological helps to prevent dogs from being exposed to harsh and abusive methods. Just as children never deserve to be hit, intimidated or humiliated, neither do dogs.

With your contribution you are helping to empower dog lovers all over the world with the information, skills, and knowledge to teach their dogs through gentle, loving techniques and prevent many dogs from being relinquished or euthanized due to “so called” undesirable behavior. The icing on the cake is helping more children to find relief from trauma or sadness through the unconditional love of a Gabriel’s Angels therapy dog.

As Seen on TV Launches White Label Crowdfunding Platform to Connect Inventors with Consumers

24 Jun

Soon customers can support new crowdfunding  products As Seen on TV in the areas of household, kitchen, outdoor, health &  beauty, fitness, clothing, electronics, toys, novelty, pets, DVDs, and food

By Robert Hoskins

As Seen On TV, Inc. (OTCQB: ASTV) announced that it will partner with white-label crowdfunding software provider Launcht, Inc. for a first of its kind platform that will let inventors connect with consumers who then vote to support products with their pocketbooks. Inventions that are successful through the As Seen on TV crowdfunding platform will be sold through various distribution channels, including the official online destination for As Seen On TV products — AsSeenOnTV.com — which reaches a global audience.

As Seen on TV Crowdfunding Platform

As Seen on TV Crowdfunding Platform

The As Seen On TV crowdfunding platform will allow inventors to make their pitch to the world, and give consumers early access to innovative new products. Inventors will upload video, images, design specifications, and marketing strategies to convince consumers of their good ideas. Consumers review and comment on inventor ideas, and can become the first to own the best new products through pre-purchases on the As Seen On TV crowdfunding platform.

“We’re giving the public access into the early stages of the invention process that until now has only happened behind closed doors,” said Kevin Harrington, Chairman and Founder of As Seen On TV. “And for inventors, it’s a smarter way to find out if there’s a market for your product – you use crowdfunding pre-sales to gather feedback and determine worthiness.”

“This is a significant opportunity for our company and a terrific way to interact with consumers worldwide,” said Ronald C. Pruett, Jr., President and CEO of As Seen On TV. “We will use the feedback and consumer response to influence the product design and distribution channels we select. Of course, we’ll still search for inventions through our traditional methods, but our crowdfunding platform will allow everyone to participate in future As Seen On TV products.”

“We are honored to partner with As Seen On TV to power their new crowdfunding platform; this is a great use of our white label crowdfunding software,” remarked Freeman White, CEO of Launcht. “Our mission is to democratize access to the market, and it’s time to bring the selection and funding of great ideas out from behind closed doors.”

As Seen On TV, Inc. (OTCQB: ASTV) is the leading multichannel distributor of As Seen On TV products and serves up fun for engaged consumers worldwide. Customers can find 1,500 products from As Seen on TV in the areas of Household, Kitchen, Outdoor, Health & Beauty, Fitness, Clothing, Electronics, Toys, Novelty, Pets, DVDs, and Food. Celebrities and industry experts often endorse As Seen On TV products for their inventive nature and utility.
