Australian Company GlowThrow Begins Much-Awaited Kickstarter Crowdfunding Campaign in the Pet Niche for Innovative Glow-in-the-Dark Ball Launcher Product

By Robert Hoskins

Melbourne, AustraliaGlowThrow, a Melbourne-based company which has developed an ingenious pet-friendly product featuring the latest technology, has confirmed that it has launched a crowdfunding campaign on the global Kickstarter platform to help get its original provisional patent pending glow-in-the-dark fetch game for dogs off the ground. It is hoped that pet owners will be able to spend much more quality time with their dogs as the product can easily be used at night. Its target market is dog owners who get home after dark and people who happen to live in areas that get far less natural sunlight during the day, especially in winter.

A 12-month labour of love has seen the GlowThrow developed and tested by a pet-centric lighting industry professional with a 7-year-old white colored Whippet named Chicken who enjoys night time walks. Lachlan Scott is a heavy industrial mining lighting expert who earned his Degree from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne.

In the business world, he was a former Project Development Engineer and Sales Manager for a global lighting industry giant recording annual sales of $8.98 billion AUD per year. Importantly, with overall pet wellbeing and safety in mind, GlowThrow features a powerful inbuilt LED to charge the glow-in-the-dark ball whereby the LED and battery are located within the launcher rather than the ball – eliminating the risk of dogs accidentally eating the electronics while playing fetch. What’s more, GlowThrow’s unique design allows for a sustainable bright glow experience during every walk as the LED charges the Phosphor.

“I work long hours and there can be so much emotion wrapped up in this as a dog owner. I felt so guilty working late. Our Whippet named Chicken really has a way of tugging at your heart strings. I think it must be the same for every pet owner who also finds themselves in our situation,” expressed Lachlan Scott, Director, GlowThrow. “Now, the GlowThrow allows my girlfriend and me to get the most out of walks with Chicken – no matter what time we both can get home at. It has helped to nurture the bond that we have with our dog who feels so much like a part of the family. I guess a lot of people can relate to our story.”

Currently, with 2 staff and multiple outside contractors, GlowThrow solves a natural light problem for people who work long hours and often get home as the sun is setting or when it is already dark. Lachlan Scott also observed a major natural light issue when he lived in Vienna, Austria for 2 years. In the Northern Hemisphere, the sun sets at 4 pm in winter.

Interestingly, from a quality of life standpoint, earlier this month, the Austrian capital was named the best city in the world to live in for the 8th year in a row. GlowThrow is committed to improving the quality of life for pet owners and dogs.

In November 2016, the GlowThrow team filed for provisional patent pending with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The immediate goal is to complete a successful crowdfunding campaign and fulfil as many orders as possible with Kickstarter traction to get the product to backers. The vision for the business is to have GlowThrow stocked in as many pet shops as possible.

Every GlowThrow features:

  • High powered LED light built neatly into the head of the launcher.
  • Super bright glow-in-the-dark ball for maximum visibility.
  • A fortnight of daily night-time dog walks from a fully charged 1200m Ah Li-Ion rechargeable battery.
  • Micro USB charger port to charge the battery.
  • Exceptional ergonomic handle with over moulded rubber for secure grip comfort.
  • Flexible neck for long throws.
  • LED light doubles as an illuminating torch when not charging the glow-in-the-dark ball.

GlowThrow is the world’s only pet-friendly designed glow-in-the-dark fetch game for dogs that gives you the ability to keep the ball glowing super brightly while you effortlessly play fetch at night. To see GlowThrow in action at night visit: http://www.glowthrow.com/

Real Estate Crowdfunding to be Major Focus at Country’s Largest Crowd Investment Conference

By Robert Hoskins

Los Angeles, CaliforniaCrowd Invest Summit, the country’s largest crowdfunding investment conference, taking place on September 6th and 7th at the Los Angeles Convention Center, has announced that it will be expanding its focus on Real Estate Crowdfunding.

Since the signing of the JOBS Act in 2012, Real Estate Investing has been the fastest growing segment of the new Crowdfunding Industry. According to CBRE, the real estate has more than a $1.7 trillion dollars worth of dry power ready to be invested in residential and commercial real estate deals.

“We expect over 3,000 attendees at Crowd Invest Summit this September, a significant portion being investors who are looking to learn about new opportunities,” said Alon Goren, co-founder of Crowd Invest Summit. “Real Estate investing has been a major focus at the summit, and because of overwhelming demand, this September we’re expanding on the topic.”

Crowd Invest Summit will feature the crowd investment industry’s top leaders, investors and firms covering real estate investing over the span of two days in September:

“As one of California’s preeminent real estate and business law firms, we are excited to partner with Crowd Invest Summit for its first-ever discussion on the emerging issues and opportunities presented by the ever-growing real estate crowdfunding market,” said Chuck Jarrell, Partner, Allen Matkins. “Crowdfunding has become an integral part of real estate investing and a topic that will resonate well with conference attendees.”

“We are excited to be back at Crowd Invest Summit this September to discuss how we’ve quadrupled our investor base by combining technology and marketing with an institutional approach to real estate investing,” said Michael Episcope, Principal, Origin Investments.

“Commercial real estate is no longer reserved for the wealthy. Now, everyone has the ability to passively invest in multi-million dollar properties, all thanks to crowdfunding,” said Matt Schuberg, CEO, RealCap. “We are very excited to come back to Crowd Invest Summit in September to bring these types of opportunities to the masses.”

“401(k) and IRA accounts provide access to 12 times more investment dollars than checking and savings accounts,” said Todd Yancey, CSO of IRA Services. “We are excited to explain the process to real estate investors at Crowd Invest Summit how to easily access that capital.”

“Now more than ever real estate companies should focus on the fundamentals and principles in mitigating risks to investors capital. Crowd Invest Summit offers both Real Estate Companies and potential investors to engage first hand and learn more about the risks and rewards of investing in Commercial Real Estate,” said Rayaan Arif, CEO, FundingTree.

The new ICONIQ Qore lunch  box combines vacuum insulation with a modular design without the need for refrigeration or reheating

Irvine, California – ICONIQ Bottle has announced the release of their latest project, an all-in-one food container that aims to replace the traditional lunchbox. Full details of the food container, titled the ICONIQ Qore, were revealed on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform, where it is currently available for pre-order.

The product of two years of ideation and development, its features include:

  • Double wall stainless steel vacuum insulation to keep cold foods cold and hot foods hot.
  • Unique stacking food container segments, allowing you to pack multiple dishes together.
  • A stainless steel fold-out spork stored in the base of the container eliminating the need for loose or disposable eating utensils.
  • High-grade stainless steel materials that are re-usable, 100% BPA free, and easy-to-clean.

Also in the works is a stackable insulated water bottle segment that combines with the food container into one portable unit.

“The combination of vacuum insulation with a modular design is the real game changer,” says co-founder Shane Jones. “It opens up tons of new food options, all without the need for refrigeration or reheating. Pack a bowl of hot chicken noodle soup served with a side salad. Or a Greek yogurt served with a chopped fruit medley. The possibilities are endless.”

In building a more sensible, easy-to-use lunchbox ICONIQ hopes to steer consumers away from more traditional takeout or packaged food options, which they claim are often highly processed and unhealthy.

“Most schoolchildren don’t have access to a refrigerator or microwave. The same goes for many professionals working outdoors or on the road,” says lead designer Richard Chritz. “The ICONIQ Qore will allow everyone to enjoy fresh home cooked meals instead of the typical processed or packaged foods found in most packed lunches.”

The ICONIQ Qore Food Container is currently in is the final stages of development and is scheduled for release in June 2017. It will come in multiple colors and variations with prices ranging from $18-$29.

Crowdfunding PR Rolls Out Title III Equity Crowdfunding 2-Month Prep-Work Programs to Launch More Successful Crowdfunding Campaigns

16 May

The crowdfunding prep work program helps entrepreneurs, startups and small businesses amass a large crowd of followers on social media and utilizes PR to generate hundreds of articles on leading newspapers, TV/radio stations, trade publications and leading blogs

By Robert Hoskins

Austin, Texas (May 16, 2016) – Want to learn how to launch a successful Title III crowdfunding campaign on one of top 100 equity crowdfunding sites? To help crowdfunders achieve this elusive goal, Crowdfunding PR (http://crowdfundingPR.wordpress.com) announced a special two-month Crowdfunding Prep Work Program that will significantly improve a crowdfunding campaign’s success rate by amplifying its founder’s social media profiles and by utilizing an effective crowdfunding PR campaign to generate hundreds of stories in the electronic news media prior to the crowdfunding campaign’s launch.

How to Plan a Successful Crowdfunding PR Campaign by Following this Secret Step-by-Step Process

How to Plan a Successful Crowdfunding PR Campaigns, a Step-by-Step Process

One of the biggest challenges that most crowdfunding campaigns face are weak social media credentials and the lack of a large group of social media followers that are needed to support crowdfunding campaigns with donations and/or investments. Building strong, professional Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter profiles and amassing the largest possible group of followers on social media networks is crucial to conducting a successful crowdfunding campaign.

The second biggest task is generating stories on electronic news media outlets and blogs prior to launching a crowdfunding campaign. Not only can a well-orchestrated crowdfunding PR campaign generate hundreds of free, positive trade press articles to support the fundraising effort, but the same targeted, search engine optimized press releases will continue to drive new investors, potential customers and sales/distribution partners to the business long after the crowdfunding campaign ends.

“What many entrepreneurs and startups need to recognize is how important social media is in the world of crowdfunding,” said Robert Hoskins, Crowdfunding PR’s Director of Crowdfunding Campaigns. “The very first thing that an investor/donor does when they read through a crowdfunding profile they like is to look up the company and its team members on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to check out their credentials. Having a strong resume on LinkedIn, lots of likes on Facebook and an army of followers on Twitter is crucial to determining the strength of the team and the likelihood that they have the tenacity and skill set to deliver on their crowdfunding campaign’s promises.”

“Next, most investors/donors will do a Google search to see what they can find online for both the company and its team members,” Hoskins continued. “With a two-month crowdfunding prep-work campaign there will be several pages of search engine results that link to the client’s website pages, their social media posts/profiles and the crowdfunding campaign’s prep pages that will point to their live fundraising campaign on Kickstarter.com, Indiegogo.com, GoFundMe.com or any of the other 2016 Top 100 Global Crowdfunding sites.”

Paid Mentorship Management Consulting Fees Can Help Fund College University Incubator and Accelerator Programs

Allowing Mentors to Earn Revenue while Colleges/Universities Collect a Commission for Facilitating the Knowledge Transfer is Great Way to Bring Leading Expertise to Remote Areas

By Robert Hoskins

Paid Mentor Management Consulting Fees

Another option for schools to generate funding is to create a management consulting practice in tandem with college and university incubators and accelerators. Many sources of mentorship can be attracted by allowing the subject matter experts to generate revenue by providing mentoring services for a consulting fee.

Incubators/accelerators could take a 15% commission out of the consulting fee to add monthly recurring revenue to their incubator and accelerator programs. Payments for services can be paid in cash and/or might include an option to purchase equity shares in the first class of equity shares being offered during the seed fundraising round.

Using this strategy, schools with video conferencing capabilities can tap into talent on a worldwide basis. Using teleconferencing and distance learning applications schools can access the world’s leading entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and private equity investors, even in remote locations.

A single community college might not able to afford a speaking engagement with Guy Kawasaki, Elon Musk or Richard Branson, but working with numerous community colleges in any given state they could launch a rewards-based crowdfunding campaign to solicit enough cash to pay for an event that could be broadcast to a network of participating schools.  These single session tutorials, mentoring sessions or consulting engagements could be setup in a very similar manner to the very popular TedX talks.

Other sources of revenue can be earned by hosting conferences, trade shows, pitching competitions and/or training classes.
