Stick-N-Find Technologies made multiple announcements around the production of its popular ultra-small Bluetooth location stickers, which included:

  • Precise Radar Resolution – Enables users to pinpoint stickers within two inches of its location, using Stick-N-Find’s patent-pending algorithms and techniques.
  • Extended range of up to 150 feet – Achieved with custom designed antenna and a proprietary mixed non-absorbent plastic casing, enabling expanded reach.
  • Completely intuitive redesigned, easy-to-use consumer mobile application.
  • Shipping begins next week – One month ahead of schedule and a first early shipment announced in the crowdfunding industry.

“We have been working day and night to make the SticknFind Stickers amazing. Our focus has been on reliability and ease of use. Our goal was the ability to pinpoint the sticker in a large house, without the necessity of the buzzer feature. Our radar resolution now is so high, the App will guide any user within inches from the sticker,” said Jimmy Buchheim , CEO of Stick-N-Find Technologies.

Buchheim continued, “We have been working very closely with our suppliers, we even produced our first 20,000 stickers in USA, to ensure that we shipped before our promised dates (originally March 31st). It was exciting for us to announce the shipped date for our contributors, but also the new feature-rich easy to use mobile application. New features on the App include the pinpoint location accuracy and extended range of up to 150 feet. We will continue to make improvements on the performance and form factor of StickNFind.”

StickNFind made its debut in December 2012 on Indiegogo, with its first showcase at CES 2013 in Las Vegas, NV. StickNFind was one of the top crowdfunded projects of all time on the Indiegogo platform raising more than $930,000 in less than six weeks.

Other announcements during the press conference included a future-looking retail launch projection for StickNFind in April 2013 (retail partners soon to be announced). In addition, Buchheim announced StickNFind’s enterprise application projections for the medical industry, government agencies and libraries for both StickNFind and its longer range device, BluTracker.

Indiegogo Increases International Crowdfunding Donations by Accepting New 187 Currencies

Adyen announced that Indiegogo selected its payment system to process online payments for Indiegogo’s international customers starting with Europe and Canada. Since launching new currencies, languages and localized experiences in December, Indiegogo has seen a 20% increase in international activity on its platform, creating the need for a global payments solution that facilitates and localizes transactions across many countries.

With more than 100,000 funded campaigns around the world, including an average of 7,000 active campaigns at any given time, Indiegogo collects and distributes millions of dollars in contributions via its platform each week.  Adyen’s global payments platform will enable Indiegogo to collect campaign contributions in local currencies through Europe and Canada, and route transactions through its network of more than 80 global banks and processing partners to minimize foreign exchange and other transaction fees.

In addition to processing European and Canadian credit card payments, Adyen will provide support for a number of preferred local payment methods throughout Europe, including Maestro (UK), Carte Bleue (France), Sofortuberweisung (Germany,Austria), Giropay (Germany), iDeal (Netherlands), TrustPay (multiple countries throughout Eastern Europe), and bank transfer payments throughout Europe.  Adyen will continue to add new local payment methods for Indiegogo in other geographies in the coming months.

“Indiegogo channels funds to tens of thousands of campaigns around the world, so anything we can do to make it easier for our customers to give and receive contributions in their native currencies and languages is a big priority,” said Danae Ringelmann , Indiegogo co-founder. “Adyen’s global reach, broad service offerings, in-market payments expertise and industry leading fraud protection tools, make them a perfect partner to support our strategic international growth plans.”

In 2012, Adyen processed more than $10 billion in payments transactions worldwide, including a 300% increase in mobile transactions. The company processes online, mobile and point-of-sale payments for nearly 3,000 international merchants.  It supports 187 currencies and 218 preferred local payment methods used on six continents, which gives consumers more payment options and helps merchants increase sales conversions.  Adyen has seen merchant conversion rates improve an average of 35% by offering local payment methods and currencies.

“Adyen’s payment solutions help thousands of online merchants like Indiegogo expand their international operations, grow their customer base and tap into the global e-commerce marketplace,” said Peter Caparso , president of Adyen North America . “With campaigns and contributions already coming to Indiegogo from all four corners of the world, we look forward to supporting them with global payment solutions that enhance their localization efforts.”

Crowdfunding Press Center Encourages Small Businesses to Sign White House Crowdfunding Petition

4 Mar

By Robert Hoskins

Please join small businesses across America in signing the White House Crowdfunding Petition (http://wh.gov/vjao) to respectfully insist that the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) expedite issuing Title II and III Crowdfunding guidelines.  The Crowdfunding rules will provide access to investment startup capital, which is needed desperately by millions of entrepreneurs and small businesses that want to create new jobs.  These businesses are ready, willing and perfectly positioned to create millions of new American jobs, but cannot get a bank loan to expand operations.

Only 150 more signatures are needed to place the Crowdfunding Petition on the official White House website where millions of Americans can add their names a show support for the provisions signed into law last year by the JOBS Act on April 5, 2012.

The number one priority for President Obama, the U.S. Congress and the SEC is to create millions of new jobs, end to the economic crisis and generate hundreds of billions of dollars in new tax revenue needed to end Sequestration.  The main roadblock that is preventing America’s recovery is the SEC’s failure to issue Crowdfunding guidelines, which were due, by law, on January 1, 2013.

“All small business associations need to join together and sign the White House Crowdfunding Petition to motivate the U.S Government to do what is right from our country,” said Robert Hoskins, Crowdfunding Press Center. “As soon as the Crowdfunding guidelines are issued, 98% more Americans can invest up to $2,000 per year in local businesses they know and trust in return for a payback from a portion of future profits. Please help us get America back on track!”

The Crowdfunding Press Center urges members of the Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC), National Business Association (NBA), National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), National Small Business Association (NSBA), Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), Small Business Administration (SBA), and the Small Business Technology Council (SBTC) to sign the White House Crowdfunding Petition.
